As your mobile butcher, we come to the farm and take the animal from pasture to cooler in one visit, keeping it in its habitual space until dispatch and far less stressed than with conventional butchery. Our Story
Redemption Meat was born from a passion for honest food and strong community ties. Founded with a dedication to preserving traditional butchery, we partner with local farms to bring you meat that tells a story of care, trust, and connection to the land. Hugh Trussell started Redemption Meat as a cattleman who saw great need for an alternative, community driven, sustainable approach to connect people back to their land, and their food. Benny Malone started his career in butchery because of a conviction for a need for change in the modern meat industry, with his goal to practice mobile, on-farm butchery. After years of working in apprenticeships, slaughterhouses, and high-end retail butcher shops, Benny crossed paths with Hugh, who was in the process of starting Redemption Meat. They started working together, and within a year were providing healthy, ethically sourced meat to communities across the state of Mississippi.

Guidelines and Expectations
On-Site Setup
We bring our mobile unit directly to your farm or location, keeping things humane and stress-free. Please have space for the unit (12 ft high, 30 ft length) and utility access if needed—we'll cover specifics when we schedule. Animals should be in a pen or otherwise confined space (barn, etc.) by the time we arrive.
Animal Health
Animals must be healthy and meet our quality standards; we'll guide you on preparation.
Waste Disposal
Disposal of the offal, head, and hide is handled by you, on site. Have buckets or machinery capable of hauling waste on hand.
Scheduling & Payment
Processing is scheduled based on availability—contact us to book a date. We cut to your exact specifications via our cut sheet, with payment due upon completion.
Pricing
Every animal has a flat kill fee plus a per-pound processing fee based on hanging weight. Contact us for a detailed quote tailored to your needs.
