Humane Mobile Processing

We specialize in on-farm livestock slaughter, meaning we come to your location and take the animal from walking on the farm to hanging in our cooler for aging, all in one place! In doing this, we allow for the animal to be in its habitual space upon dispatch, and thus far less stressed than with conventional butchery practices. We believe that every life has value and deserves to be treated so. This humane approach delivers unmatched quality and respect for every life.

Our Story

Redemption Meat was born from a passion for honest food and strong community ties. Founded with a dedication to preserving traditional butchery, we partner with local farms to bring you meat that tells a story of care, trust, and connection to the land. Hugh Trussell started Redemption Meat as a cattleman who saw great need for an alternative, community driven, sustainable approach to connect people back to their land, and their food. Benny Malone started his career in butchery because of a conviction for a need for change in the modern meat industry, with his goal to practice mobile, on-farm butchery. After years of working in apprenticeships, slaughterhouses, and high-end retail butcher shops, Benny crossed paths with Hugh, who was in the process of starting Redemption Meat. They started working together, and within a year were providing healthy, ethically sourced meat to communities across the state of Mississippi.

Guidelines and Expectations

We provide mobile processing services directly at your farm or location to ensure a humane and stress-free experience for the animals.
Please ensure your location has adequate space for our mobile unit (12ft high, 30 ft length) and access to necessary utilities if required (we'll discuss specifics during scheduling).
Animals must be healthy and meet our quality standards; we'll guide you on preparation.
Animals must be in a pen, or somewhat confined location (barn, etc) upon arrival.
Disposal of the offal, head, and hide is done by the customer, on site. To transfer waste items, either buckets or machinery capable of hauling with a bucket must be present.
Processing is scheduled based on availability—contact us to book a date.
We handle all cuts according to your specifications via our cut sheet.
Payment is due upon completion; see pricing details below.

Pricing

Our pricing is transparent and based on the type of animal and services provided. Contact us for a detailed quote tailored to your needs.

Beef Processing: $60 per head kill fee, $0.85 per lb (hanging weight) processing fee
Pork Processing: $40 per head kill feed, $0.90 per lb (hanging weight) processing fee
Lamb/Goat Processing: $40 per head kill fee, $1.20 per lb (hanging weight) processing fee
Additional Services (e.g., custom cuts, packaging): Varies—discuss during consultation
Mobile Service Fee: $1.20/mi (one-way) if beyond 50 miles from Richland, MS
